Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.
Preparation for both parents and godparents is required once every five (5) years before your child (0-7 years old) can be baptized.
Godparents/sponsors must fulfill certain eligibility requirements (as required by the Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church). Please see the Baptism Information Form in the "Documents" sidebar for those requirements. The Baptism Information Form must be completed and submitted to the parish office prior to the Baptism along with a government-issued birth certificate.
Infant baptisms (0-7 years of age) are normally scheduled on Saturday mornings/early afternoons; however, other days/times may be discussed with the minister of Baptism.
Children older than 7 years of age require additional preparation about the sacrament of Baptism before they may be baptized. This additional preparation normally takes place as part of their Religious Education in which they must be enrolled.
