It is easy to think that those who are “good Christians” will always do the right thing. The reality, however, is very different. If you read the Scriptures there are many examples of God’s chosen ones doing things that were less than honorable. Even King David had Uriah killed so he could have Uriah’s wife. The important lesson for us to realize that when we fail to live up to our beliefs and ideals all is not lost. Like David, we need to admit our failure, accept God’s forgiveness, make amends and do better in the future. by S.T.
